Dr. Asmahane Souissi

Dr. Asmahane Souissi is dermatologist, trichologist, and Associate Professor of Dermatology at Medical University of Tunis, Tunisia. She is a board member and General Secretary of the Tunisian Society of Dermatology and Venereology She is co-chair of the Dermatoendocrinology Task Force within the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology. Dr Souissi is the treasurer of the African Society of Dermatology and Venereology. She is Board director of the International Society of Dermatology. Dr Souissi is co chair of the Dermatoendocrinology Task Force of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and member of the Task Force Group on Trichoscopy and Onychoscopy for the International Society of Dermoscopy. She has authored and co-authored more than 60 peer reviewed scholarly articles in reputed international journals of dermatology. She has also written several book chapters mainly on alopecia and skin microbiome. She co-edited the book « Clinical Psychodermatology : A casebook » published by the American Psychiatric Association Publishing). Dr Souissi is the ambassador for North Africa of the Association for Psychocutaneous Medicine of North America (APMNA). She is researcher, lecturer and invited guest speaker in national and international congresses focused on trichoscopy, hair disorders, psychodermatology and general dermatology. Dr Asmahane Souissi has been selected as the recipient of the ILDS Young Dermatologist for International Achievement Award 2027 for Africa region.
